NEW: Lab Litter due July, 2008!

This litter is a match made in heaven.  Both these dogs have perfect temperaments and super trainability.  This was not a breeding to make puppies - this was a breeding because we feel this is an improvement to the breed and we want to keep a pup from this litter. AKC Certification for Sir Mango can be found here, and AKC Certification for Lady Phoenix can be found here.

Here is a bit of info about each dog:

Sire - Sir Mango Braveheart
Age 5, yellow lab

We purchased Mango from a back yard breeder.  He was an adorable pup who had the calmest eyes I have ever seen.  I started his formal training at six months and he flew through our program.  We own 8 hunting dogs of three different breeds.  If I want to go on a relaxed hunt, Mango is first out the door, hands down.  I love my pointers, but he is the best I have at everything.  He is a versatile hunting dog, truly a pleasure to be with and because we hunt professionally, he is the most requested dog we own.  At about 2 years old I began to train Mango to help me train other dogs.  Especially dogs that were dog aggressive.  His calm and gentle personality is infectious.  He loves to work.  Any kind of work.  He carries packages when I go to Home Depot.  He will bring stuff from the house to me in the fields, he will do whatever I ask, and he has never let me down, not once.  I have even trained him to find the TV remote like a bomb sniffing dog, but then all he wants to watch is the Animal Planet.  I have always said that in your life you will get one dog that is just more amazing and special then the rest.  A dog that everyone falls in love with.  Mango has been that for me and more.  Aside from all the chores he does around here and all the trophies he has for hunting, he is my best friend, and I can't imagine my life without him at my side. Lady Phoenix Braveheart
Age 3, yellow lab

Phoenix was purchased as a puppy from Cedar Hill Retrievers, owned by James and Beth Farmer.  James is a competition retriever trainer and all of his breeding dogs are titled "Master Hunters".  Phoenix has nothing but Master Hunters and Field Champions in her lines.  Her papers are truly unreal.  We co-own her and she is a family house dog as well as a very trained hunting dog.  She has the same calm personality as Mango, with plenty of fire in the field.  She is a Carmel color yellow lab, as is Mango.  I remember the first time I took her in the field.  I let her run loose as I trained some pointers.  We shot a bird that went through a tree line and across a creek.  The pointer had no clue as to where the bird went because a tree blocked his line of sight.  Phoenix was about 12 weeks old and not much bigger then the bird itself.  She took off into the tree line and ran over the bank and landed in the water.  I was scared she would drown or be turned off to water forever.  I ran to her to find her not there at all. I looked up into the field on the other side of the tree line and creek and there was Phoenix with the bird headed back.  We all laughed so hard!!  She carried the bird in her mouth for the rest of the day.  Every time an adult dog came by she growled and defended her prize.  Today she is a sweet easy going house dog that still has a lot of desire to retrieve. Pictures of Lady Phoenix are below:

I want you all to know that these dogs are bred to be hunters and we love to sell them to hunters, but they make as good of a family dog as any Lab out there.  The gene pool they come from makes them very easy to train and calm, not hyper and hard to control labs that we see here so often.  Please come by and see the mom and dad.  If you want to see them hunt we can do that as well.  I hope you are as excited about this litter as we are.  We are taking deposits for this litter now.  First deposit gets first pick and so on.
